The Oct. 1 event hosted by the Tundra Women's Coalition for Domestic Violence Awareness Month highlighted a crisis that continues to reverberate across the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.

On Oct. 2, 2024, members of the community gathered at the Yupiit Piciryarait Cultural Center for the Tundra Women's Coalition's annual Peacewalk event, which aims to raise awareness of domestic violence.
