The Tuluksak River is currently breaking up. A recent bout of warm weather in the Y-K Delta has rotted many rivers and other bodies of water. That’s according to Mark Leary, Bethel Search and Rescue member and Director of Operations for the Native Village of Napaimute. Leary helps maintain the ice road. He says to avoid all travel near the Tuluksak River, especially at the point where it meets the Kuskokwim.
