One man is dead and two women are seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash on May 28 in Mountain Village, according to state troopers.
One of the passengers, 20-year-old Mackenzie Mike, died before he could be transported to a hospital. The driver, Jessica Patterson, 20, and another passenger, Mollie Waskey, 20, were medevaced to Anchorage. Troopers say that all three occupants were from Mountain Village, and their families have been notified.
The group was driving on the road between St. Mary's and Mountain Village when their 2005 Ford F-150 left the roadway. The trooper’s notice of the incident did not include why the truck left the roadway, but said that an investigation is ongoing. None of those involved were wearing seatbelts.
