The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation hosted a mass COVID-19 testing event for the entire community of Bethel, Alaska on November 7, 2020.

In Bethel this Saturday, Oct. 23, you can get your flu shot, COVID-19 vaccine, and get tested for COVID-19, either at the parking lot across from the Bethel hospital or in the parking lot of the Yupiit Piciryarait Cultural Center.

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation will be providing these services in the parking lot across from the Bethel hospital from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The services are free, and no appointment is needed. You can either drive through the event in a vehicle or walk up to it on foot.

YKHC will also be offering flu shots, COVID-19 vaccines, and COVID-19 testing at Saturday Market. You can find the YKHC team in the parking lot of the cultural center between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Flu vaccines are available to everyone older than six months. COVID-19 vaccines are available to everyone aged 12 and older. COVID-19 booster shots are available to all Alaska Natives aged 18 and older, to people with health conditions that would be made dangerous by a COVID-19 infection, and to people whose jobs require them to interact with the public.

If you are getting your second COVID-19 shot or booster shot, YKHC asks you to bring your CDC COVID-19 vaccination card.

YKHC will be holding similar events in villages across the region on Nov. 9.
