COVID-19 testing is available in Bethel in the parking lot across from the YKHC hospital, Monday through Saturday, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation has expanded its COVID-19 testing in Bethel. There are no appointments needed to get tested.

You can get tested on the first floor of the Bethel hospital Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. You can also use the testing drive-through, or walk up to the testing site in the parking lot across from the hospital Monday through Saturday between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

People who are having COVID-19 symptoms or who are close contacts of someone who has tested positive for the virus are asked to take this outdoor option.

Testing is also available at village health clinics. For more information, call the YKHC COVID-19 hotline at 907-543-6949.

If you test positive for the virus, YKHC is asking for your help in notifying your close contacts and encouraging them to quarantine. According to the CDC, an infected person can spread COVID-19 beginning two days before showing symptoms. For an asymptomatic person, spreading can occur two days before a positive test is collected. A close contact is anyone who has been within 6 feet of a person for at least 15 minutes during that infectious period.
