This week, “What It Is At LKSD” is brought to you by LKSD Ready Academy students Kaylee King and Roselyn Evan from Mekoryuk.

Here’s what it is at LKSD.

Toksook Bay high school seniors are hosting a co-ed community volleyball tournament this weekend to fundraise for their senior trip. It will cost $10 per player. The tournament currently has no teams signed up, so go out there and support your Toksook Bay Islanders.

Tuntutuliak will be hosting boys basketball home games if the weather allows for travel. They haven’t had any games for three weekends; here’s hoping they are able to play.

Chefornak School will be hosting boys high school basketball games this weekend. The schools attending will be Toksook Bay, Tununak, and Newtok. The games would take place on Friday night and Saturday. Chefornak hasn’t been able to host any games in their village this season. Chefornak is also hoping the girls basketball team will have a chance to travel to Tununak on February 8.

This weekend the Atmautluak boys basketball team is traveling to Kwethluk, and the girls basketball team is traveling to Nunapitchuk to compete.

Good luck this weekend!

This was Kaylee and Rosie, and that’s what it is at LKSD.
