Police are investigating the death of a man from Chevak who was found in the Kuskokwim River in Bethel. Police got the call at 9 a.m on Tuesday that Timothy Matchian was seen going under the river water near First Avenue. Bethel Search and Rescue recovered the body, and police are investigating the circumstances.
