Police found the body of a Bethel man last week, identified as Gabriel Kylook, age 23. Bethel Police Chief Richard Simmons said in an email that officers do not suspect foul play.

According to a police statement, around 2 p.m. on Jan. 19, Bethel police received a report of a possibly dead person in the area behind Standard Oil Road. Medics and police drove to the area and found Kylook’s body. “Kylook had been reported to have left his residence two days prior to locating his remains,” according to a police statement. Kylook's body has been sent to Anchorage for autopsy.

Police ask anyone with information about Kylook’s death to call the Bethel Police Department at 907-543-3781.
