Kuskokwim Bay will have its third commercial salmon fishing openingof the season for 12 hours on July 8, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Fishermen are limited to gillnets that are 6-inch mesh or less, 45 meshes in depth, and 300 feet in length. Subsistence fishing in the area will close for 24 hours, from 12:01 a.m. on July 8 to 12:01 a.m. on July 9.
Only fishermen from Quinhagak, Goodnews Bay, Eek, and Platinum that have been approved by the Board of the Independent Fishermen of Quinhagak Cooperative can participate in the Kuskokwim Bay fishery.
