Severe Wind Chill Forecast For Kuskokwim Delta

Updated Jan. 28, 2020 4:30 p.m.: The National Weather Service has extended its wind chill advisory issued for the Kuskokwim Delta and Lower Kuskokwim River area to noon on Thursday, Jan. 30.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for the Kuskowim Delta and Lower Kuskokwim River area. The advisory is in effect from the evening of Jan. 27 to noon on Jan. 29. The National Weather Service forecasts wind chills as low as 50 degrees below zero, with the coldest conditions along the coast. The National Weather Service recommends wearing appropriate clothing and taking travel precautions during this time.
