Bethel Regional High School will have a new principal next school year. The Bethel Advisory School Board is interviewing two candidates for the position on May 13, and the public is invited to join the virtual meeting to listen and ask questions. Both candidates currently work in the school district and have held multiple school administrative positions.
Alicia Miner is the current assistant principal at Bethel Regional High School. Previously, she worked as the principal at the Kasigluk Akiuk school, as the dean of students and teachers at Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat in Quinhagak, and as a teacher at William Miller School in Napakiak.
Michael Robbins is the current principal at Nelson Island School in Toksook Bay. He previously worked in the district as an assistant principal at Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat in Quinhagak. Before that, he worked in New York state as principal with the Rochester School District, house principal and special programs director with the Syracuse school district, and as a teacher at the Cazenovia School and Fabius-Pompey School District.
