Due to the threat of COVID-19, the Lower Kuskokwim School District has canceled all classes next week, March 16-20. This extends the district's spring break by another week.
All student activities and non-essential travel are canceled for next week as well. However, school staff members are still expected to report to work.
LKSD is looking at alternative ways to educate students if class cancellations extend beyond next week.
