Official election results from the Calista Corporation board elections are in, and the results remain the same as the unofficial results announced by the regional Native corporation earlier this week. George Guy of Kwethluk, Johnnie Evan of Tuntutuliak, and Wayne Don of Mekoryuk were all re-elected to their seats.
Guy will continue to represent Unit 4; Evan will continue to represent Unit 5; and Don will continue to represent Unit 6. Guy has served since 1998, Evan since 2013, and Don since 2016. Each board term runs three years.
Sramek-Hightower, an independent certified public accounting firm in Anchorage, certified the results.
Voter turnout was the fourth-highest in Calista's history with over 59 percent of shareholders voting.
