The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Kuskokwim Delta coast. The advisory is in effect from 3 p.m. on Feb. 10 until 6 p.m. on Feb. 11.
The weather service forecasts 4 to 8 inches of snowfall and winds gusting up to 45 miles per hour. Blowing snow will reduce visibility to a half-mile at times; the weather service urges caution while traveling.
Following the blizzard, temperatures could jump above freezing, with a high forecast at 34 degrees Fahrenheit for both Feb. 11 and 12.
