Bethel City Council Invites Three Finalists For City Manager For On-Site Interviews

City of Bethel

The Bethel City Council likes all three final candidates for city manager so far. In the first round of video interviews last week, each candidate showed different strengths. As a result, the council invited them all to Bethel for on-site interviews scheduled for some time next month.

Vincenzo “Vinny” Corazza brings technical expertise in building and maintaining infrastructure. He currently works as the City Engineer in Temple Terrence, Florida.

“I think you have a large water and sewer project in The Avenues; that’s pretty much what I do,” Corazza said.

Roger Leonard comes from the private sector. He’s worked with local governments, but his expertise is in managing large organizations.

“I do bring a strong financial background, a legal background. I didn’t practice as an attorney, but I had two large companies that I formed and developed,” Leonard said.

And Cynthia Northrop draws on her time serving as a city council member in Lewisville, Texas.

“I’ve served in the elected capacity as far as being that visionary,” Northrop said. “But I’ve also served in the administrative capacity functioning as a county commissioner.”

Council members also asked the candidates what they like to do for fun. Corazza said that he likes learning about cultures and language, and participating in philanthropy. Leonard is a pilot, and he also enjoys shooting and hiking. Northrop said that she teaches fitness classes, sings, and plays music.

On-site interviews for the three candidates are tentatively scheduled for the week of Feb. 10.
