Alaska Cab is still transporting customers around Bethel as of Tuesday, March 24. Bethel's largest taxi company, Kusko Cab, halted all of its vehicles on March 20 due to the threat of COVID-19.No positive cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the region. For this reason, Alaska Cab co-owner Choon Chung says that his cab company doesn’t need to close. Chung says that he is scared of the virus reaching Bethel and has been keeping a close eye on the news. He says that if tests confirm that COVID-19 has reached Bethel, Alaska Cab’s operations may change. Until then, the taxis will continue to move passengers around town 24/7.
