Troopers Investigating Death Of Quinhagak Girl As A Homicide

Alaska State Troopers have identified the young girl whose body was found in Quinhagak on Monday, March 16. Troopers are investigating the death of 10-year-old Ida “Girlie” Aguchak as a homicide.

Ida was reported missing to Alaska State Troopers on March 16 around 5 p.m. About two hours later, tribal police officers located her body at the village dump, according to troopers and a tribal police officer. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation is now taking over the case.
