Bessie Weston of Mekoryuk has been appointed to the Lower Kuskokwim School District Board.
Weston will fill Seat B, which was occupied by the late Jonathan Lewis of Chefornak. Lewis died this past October. In their meeting on Thursday night, the board reviewed several candidates and deliberated in a special executive session before appointing Weston and continuing with the meeting's agenda of reports and action items.
