Officers with uniforms bearing the logos of the Alaska State Troopers, FBI, and Bethel Police are at the Trailer Court Area of Bethel. As of Tuesday afternoon, officers were searching vehicles used by the Quyana Cab Company.

According to a press release from the troopers in December of 2015 the Alaska State Troopers Western Alaska and Alcohol and Narcotics Team, or WAANT, began investigating suspected illegal alcohol sales in Bethel by local companies.

The State Troopers and the Bethel WAANT unit are continuing the investigation by serving out multiple search warrants.

They did not confirm whether or not the Federal Bureau of Investigation was involved.

Troopers say the case is still under investigation and cannot comment further at this point.
