Voting Absentee In Person At Nunam Iqua Tribal Office

Christine Trudeau
/
KYUK

As the primary election begins, the Alaska Division of Elections reports that there are seven small, rural communities in Alaska without polling places because of concerns over COVID-19. Nunam Iqua, on the Yukon River, is among them. There, people can vote absentee in person at the tribal office.

Arrangements for absentee in person voting have also been provided in the other communities without polling places for the primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
