More Funds Available To Rural Healthcare Providers

There’s more money available to rural Alaska health care providers. Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska is preparing to award grants from a $3 million fund it began in 2019. The first round of 10 grants was approved in February.

The Rasmuson Foundation administers the funds, and said that it moved up the application date because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Rural health care providers can apply for new equipment, and supplies to prepare for emergencies. The application deadline is April 24.

Past winners include Kongiginak, which applied for equipment for its new clinic.
