The Veterans of Foreign Wars basketball tournament was held at Bethel Regional High School Jan. 10 - 11. On Jan. 10, the Dillingham junior varsity boys team beat Bethel by 20 points, with a final score of 62 to 42. That same day, Dillingham’s girls junior varsity team beat Bethel 39 to 21.
On Jan. 11, the Lumin Christi boys varsity team beat the Toksook Bay Islanders by 35 points, with a final score of 70 to 35. The Toksook Bay Islanders then beat the Aniak Halfbreeds 66 to 48. Lumin Christi held on to its winning streak, beating Selawik 64 to 50 in the final championship game.
