K300 Season Opener Delayed Again

Poor trail conditions have pushed the Kuskokwim 300 Season Opener race back another week. Instead of mushing this weekend, teams will have to wait until Saturday, Dec. 21. The delay also forces the K300 Race Committee to delay the Holiday Classic race originally scheduled for next weekend. Race Manager Paul Basile says that the current plan is to hold the Holiday Classic on Dec. 28, the weekend between Christmas and New Year.

This is the third year in a row that the K300 Season Opener has had to be delayed due to poor trail conditions.
