The Alaska House State Affairs Committee is live-streaming a hearing on COVID-19. Those testifying at the Juneau hearing include Nirav Shah, senior scholar at the Stanford Medical Center; Thomas Pueyo, a computer modeler and mathematician; Alaska Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Incident Commander Bryan Fisher; and Nils Andreassen, executive director of the Alaska Municipal League. The testimony will focus on the spread of infectious diseases and other relevant areas as lawmakers work to enact policies that will protect the health of Alaskans.
