Fili's Pizza Expands Takeout And Delivery, Reduces Employee Hours

Fili’s Pizza is expanding its takeout and delivery menu following the state mandate that shut down dine-in services for restaurants until April 1.

Fili’s co-owner Todd Perez says that the restaurant has enough reserves to weather the economic repercussions for a little while. So far, they have laid off two employees who were temporary managers, and reduced hours for other workers.

Starting March 17, Fili’s will be open from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. It will begin opening at 11 a.m. starting March 23. The restaurant is not selling alcohol until the mandate lifts.

Perez also co-owns Q2, and is expanding hours next week to include lunch delivery. He has not had to layoff any employees yet. Customers can also pick up their food inside Q2, and Perez says that workers will wipe down the counter after each transaction. Perez plans to re-evaluate next steps as the mandate progresses.
