A boating collision near Bethel on July 12 left one man dead and one child with life-threatening injuries. Two other adults have non-life threatening injuries. The Alaska State Troopers are still investigating. They identified the deceased man as David Berlin of Bethel.
Another traveler was returning to Bethel when they spotted the wreckage from two boats around 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 12 and notified the troopers. The condition of the people in the second boat has not been reported.
