$1M For Bethel Businesses

Who gets the first $1 million of Bethel CARES Act funding is going to be decided on Wednesday, Aug. 12. City council member Mark Springer was appointed to the committee that decides who receives the grants at the Bethel City Council meeting on Aug. 11. The committee will meet on the evening of Aug. 12 at council chambers to decide how the funds should be allocated.

Michelle DeWitt, executive director of the Bethel Community Services Foundation, reported that local businesses have applied for over a million dollars in grants, and she expects that the entire million dollars that has been set aside for the program will be spent today.
