The Bethel City Council will consider an increase to the maximum rates that Bethel cab companies can charge riders. The increase would affect rides to the airport, Kasayulie Subdivision, and charter trips.

Last night, City Public Safety and Transportation Commissioner Jarred Karr told the Council that the fare caps have remained the same for the past decade, while expenses for the cab companies have increased.

A finalized list of proposed increases will be available before the next Council meeting on February 27.
