YKHC's Dr. Liz Bates and Brian Lefferts, the director of YKHC's Office of Environmental Health and Engineering, discuss COVID-19 cases in the region, the importance of vaccinations, and what you can do to protect yourself and your community.

COVID-19 vaccines are the safest, most reliable form of protection against contracting COVID-19. To schedule your vaccine appointment, or to schedule your 12 to 17 year old child for an appointment, call 1-800-478-6599 or submit a form on the YKHC website.

If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, stay home and get tested. In Bethel, walk-in COVID-19 Binax testing is available on the first floor of the hospital between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Patients should enter through the main hospital doors, not the emergency room entrance, and indicate that they are interested in a COVID-19 test. Drive-through testing is available in the parking lot in front of the CHSB, which is across the street from the hospital, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. All people who have symptoms of COVID-19 or are close contacts of known positive COVID-19 cases are encouraged to get tested at this site.

Close contacts and people showing symptoms of COVID-19 can schedule testing by calling 543-6949. In villages, please call your local clinic.
