Using DNA left in river water to count salmon

Fisheries biologists are looking at ways to use water samples to help count salmon returning to the Kuskokwim River. And joining us for Coffee today is Brandi Kamermans, a lead researcher on the project at the International Arctic Research Center at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
