Mathew Hunter was born and raised here in Bethel, Alaska. He graduated from Bethel Regional High School in 2018. He discovered his interest in radio when he started volunteering for KYUK in 2022 with basketball broadcasting and commentary. He is game broadcaster and commentator for KYUK.
