Vaccinated People Can Now Shed Their Masks In Bethel

During their May 25 meeting, Bethel City Council changed its city-wide mask mandate. Previously, masks were required in all indoor public spaces in Bethel. Now, vaccinated residents can go about much of their business without masks.

Masks will still be required at healthcare facilities, and city employees will still need to wear them when interacting with members of the public. Unvaccinated people will still be required to wear masks in all indoor public settings.

Private businesses can continue to make their own mask policies, so long as they are at least as strict as city guidelines. Currently, AC and Swanson’s still have signage posted saying that customers need to wear masks.
