As the Bethel Warrior basketball teams locked-in wins to head to the State Championships this past weekend, the Bethel cheerleading squad racked up competitive victories of its own.
The squad placed first in the Western Conference Region Tournament, and for the second year in a row, the cheerleaders earned the award for highest team GPA with a 3.77 average.
Cheer Captain Tierney McCormick won an award for best jumps, and she and senior Avery Hoffman were selected for the all-tournament cheer team.
In an email to KYUK Coach Katy Cloninger wrote, "These kids worked super hard and I am really proud of them!"
