LKSD Auditing Itself On Sexual Abuse Prevention Policies And Procedures

The Lower Kuskokwim School District is auditing itself on its sexual abuse prevention policies and procedures. The importance of these measures was highlighted in December 2019, when former Gladys Jung Elementary School Principal Chris Carmichael was arrested by the FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force and later pleaded guilty to federal charges of attempted coercion and enticement of a minor.
