In Bethel, the driver of a four-wheeler died after colliding with a power pole near Kasayuli Subdivision. Bethel police said that the collision occurred on Sept. 23 around 3:30 a.m.
Police Chief Richard Simmons wrote in an email that he could not release the identity of the person because police have not been able to contact their relatives.
A passenger was also on the four-wheeler during the crash. That person was treated at the emergency room in Bethel and released with minor injuries.
Police are leaving the investigation open until the medical examiner determines the cause of death.
