Steven Lindbeck, this year's Democratic challenger to long time U.S. Representative Don Young, has been campaigning in the Bethel area this week.
Lindbeck, former President and CEO of Alaska Public Media, sat and ate hot dogs with a small group of men and women, explaining why he was running against Republican Young, who has been in his position for 43 years.
“I’m running for Congress because we do face some major challenges in this state, and the things that have worked before aren’t necessarily going to work going forward. A lot of people around Alaska believe it’s time for a change, and I think they’re right.”
