A Bethel wrestler is one of three male finalists for the boys' side of the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame 2020 Pride of Alaska award, and the only athlete from rural Alaska to make the cut.
Hayden Lieb’s work on the mat got the Bethel athlete on the list alongside two other athletes from Anchorage: Aedyn Concepcion, another wrestler, and Finnigan Donley, an alpine skiier.
The winner will be announced May 6 at 2 p.m. on the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame Facebook page.
