This episode is part one of a two part series on the COVID-19 vaccine and our community. Today, microbiologist Dr. Brian DeHaven and YKHC Chief of Staff Dr. Ellen Hodges explain the COVID-19 vaccine. From vaccine production and testing to current vaccination trends in the Y-K Delta, this episode looks to answer a lot of the questions and soothe some of the fears you may have about receiving your COVID-19 vaccine.
Join us next week to hear community members and Elders’ stories about their experiences with getting vaccinated against COVID-19, and get your personal questions answered by virology expert DeHaven.

YKHC expects that 12 to 15-year-olds should be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine as early as Thursday, May 13. You can register your child, or yourself, to be vaccinated here.
