You can't just fish anywhere in Kalskag, fishermen have certain places on the Kuskokwim River taking turns drifting in several locations. Life in Rural Alaska is subsistence...there may be hard times when there are fish closures, but with love and humility we can pass on our traditions and protect the salmon and the river we all depend on.
