The Yukon River commercial fishing opening originally scheduled to start in District 1 on Monday, July 6 has been canceled.
The low number of summer chums and a poor harvest during the last opening are the reasons for the cancellation.
The 18-hour subsistence opening in District 1 of the Yukon will go on as scheduled from 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7 to 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8.
