KYUK Board of Directors Openings
KYUK/Bethel Broadcasting Inc. has two openings on the Board of Directors.
The Board is responsible for steering KYUK to a sustainable future with sound planning, governance and financial oversight.
KYUK is the oldest Native-owned media organization in the United States and the only station providing daily news in an indigenous language.
One of the seats is at large, meaning the applicant can be from anywhere.
The other seat is open only to someone currently living in the coastal region including the following villages: Chevak, Hooper Bay, Scammon Bay, Nightmute, Newtok, Toksook Bay, Mekoryuk and Tununak.
All seats are three year terms. The board meets regularly on a quarterly basis with extra committee meetings at various times.
