A man was found dead in a Bethel home; no foul play is suspected

Bethel police found Norman Roczicka, age 39, of Bethel dead in a house in Uivik Subdivision on Oct. 20.

A man was found dead in a Bethel home on Oct. 20. Bethel police identified him as Norman Roczicka, age 39, of Bethel.

Police and medics responded to a house in Uivik Subdivision around 1:15 p.m. after receiving a report of a man not breathing and believed to be dead. Police and medics arrived at the home and found Roczicka deceased.

Bethel Police Chief Richard Simmons said that no foul play is suspected. Roczicka’s body will be sent to the state medical examiner in Anchorage for autopsy.
