Over the July 10 weekend, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation confirmed three more positive coronavirus cases. On Saturday, July 11, YKHC said that one Bethel resident tested positive through its free airport testing in Bethel. Also on Saturday, a resident of an unnamed Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta village tested positive in Anchorage.

On July 12, YKHC said that another village resident tested positive in Anchorage. All three are currently self-isolating. This brings up the total number of cases associated with the region to 24.

YKHC has opened testing sites at the airports of Aniak and St. Mary’s. The healthcare provider urges everyone traveling into the region to get tested at the airports. YKHC also offers free drive-thru testing at the Bethel hospital every Wednesday.

The healthcare corporation urges Y-K Delta residents to only travel for essential reasons, wash their hands, keep 6 feet away from others, and wear a mask in public.
