YK Delta Women Push Back On Trump's 'Locker Room Talk'

Walk into any room in the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta—any office, any store, the post office—and chances are that one in four women you see will have experienced sexual violence. One in four.  That number is from a 2012 survey from the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.  Sexual assault has been a big topic this election season since the release of a video of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump talking with television host Billy Bush about sexually assaulting women by grabbing and kissing them without their consent. When asked about the video, the candidate dismissed his words as "locker room talk," and said "we should get on to much more important things and much bigger things." In this audio montage, you will hear women in the Delta who have decided to push back on that statement, saying sexual assault is no small thing.
