Beginning June 12, subsistence fishing will be allowed anytime in the section of the Kuskokwim River north of Aniak. In this section of the river, which is managed by the state, fishermen can obtain a permit to catch up to 10 king salmon for their household this summer. Alaska Department of Fish and Game Biologist Nick Smith and Subsistence Resource Specialist Dave Runfola join KYUK’s Greg Kim to talk about the fishing opportunities north of Aniak.
