Ravn Alaska plans to resume flights between Aniak and Anchorage the first week of January 2021.The airline shut down after declaring bankruptcy this summer, and has entered new ownership. Ravn is currently flying to six communities in the state.

Aniak will be the first destination added in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. Ravn CEO Rob McKinney said that the flight schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, landing in Aniak just before noon, and departing shortly afterwards. Passengers can plan on flying in a Dash 8 aircraft.

McKinney said that Ravn plans to hire five employees in Aniak, and is in the process of rehiring formerly laid-off Ravn workers.

The airline plans to resume flights to Bethel and St. Mary’s as well, but those dates are not yet set.
