As the federal government shutdown continues, the Bethel Lions Club is taking food donations for furloughed employees.
Bethel residents can donate food and groceries at the Lions Club on Friday from noon to 2 p.m. If you can’t make it during those hours, you can drop off groceries from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Furloughed federal employees can pick up groceries at the Lions Club on Saturday between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon.
