It was a fish that sent anthropologist Paula Schiefer to Alaska. Now she's on her way back to the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, to write about her findings after spending the last six months studying the relationship between people and salmon on the Kuskokwim River. Schiefer told KYUK’s Adrian Wagner that the beginning of her journey can be traced to something that happened in Europe a few years back.
