It’s smooth riding from Bethel to Chuathbaluk. The ice road between the two communities has been plowed, creating 135 miles of frozen Kuskokwim highway.
Many tribal transportation departments worked together to plow the road, including Akiachak, Akiak, Lower Kalskag, Upper Kalskag, Aniak, Chuathbaluk, and Napaimute. Additional support came from the City of Aniak and the Kuspuk School District.
