How To Celebrate The Fourth Of July In Bethel

City of Bethel

It’s Independence Day this Sunday, July 4, and the City of Bethel will be celebrating. Although there’s no festival this year due to concerns about social distancing during this time of COVID-19, the annual parade will be back, and promises to be better than ever.

This year, the parade will begin at 1 p.m. on July 4. It’ll start at Front Street and end at Pinky's Park.

After the parade, floats can head over to the port office, where they’ll compete for cash. The floats will be judged on a number of categories, including most creative and most comical. The prizes range from $100 to $300.

An earlier version of this story said that the parade followed the same route as last year. That is incorrect. The parade will be following the above route this year.
